The Human Rights Watch and Youths Empowerment Foundation HRWF Nigeria called on citizens to respect the laws that protect the rights of people with physical disabilities.

The President of the Organization cited the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) as an example for others to follow.

Ambassador Godwin Apple stated that the purpose of the CRPD is to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.

The article emphasizes the importance of upholding the rights and dignity of people with disabilities, in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. It calls on citizens to respect the relevant laws and follow the principles set out in the CRPD.
