Happy Independence Day of Nigeria to all Members and Welcome to this great event of our Spring Meeting.
It is my pleasure to send this short message to you in support to your activities in Apicultural Development in the state.
I will first thank all of you for the support I derived from you even before my appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Honey Bee Project.
I have been working hard to bring beekeeping to all communities in Cross River State and Obudu to be precise, we will provide a great solution to the need of sustainable development in beekeeping practices through the employment of a new mechanised technology.
This is not to say that your work has not been right, but there’s always need for improvement as the world advance.
You can note with me the sets back that befell us due to the COVID-19, many local and international seminars have come and gone without any of us participating in it due to travel ban.
The online conference are poorly received in our locality due to unstable Internet network and electricity supply.
However, training and support will start immediately in the state, due to the effort of our Governo, Prof. Ben Ayade.
As the Head of Apicultural Development in CRS and also the SSA to Governor on Honey Bee Project, I will continuing well with our partners in Finland, Ethiopia, Japan, Ghana, Uganda and Australia to see that we benefit from all the International conferences on Apiculture.
It is amazing that the UK’s 89th National Honey Show is taking place online – and we are eagerly planning our participation, preparing our virtual stand and traditional day in the seminar with our Cross River State lmproved Top-bars-Hives facilitated by Dr. Mrs Maria Onabe of the Apicultural Development of the University of Calabar.
I will let you know nearer the date how to join the online certificate activities to all seminars that do with the finest organic honey production.
